Versioning
Current translate 5 version 7.23.2 Changelogs documented up to version 7.23.2
Receiving a task
If you are assigned a task in translate5, you will receive a notification by e-mail.
Click on the link and log in to translate5 with your personal user data.
As soon as you are logged in, the task overview will be displayed.
Information on other users can be hidden in e-mail notifications via the “Anonymize users” field in the system configuration. |
Opening a task in the editor
A task can be opened in the editor from the task list
- either by clicking on the button in the “Actions” column,
- by opening the task menu via the button and selecting the corresponding option,
- or by double-clicking in the “% finished” column in the row of the relevant task.
The task directly opens in the Editor.
The presence/absence of the button indicates whether the task is available for you to work on. If the button is not visible in the “Status (task)” column, the task is not yet or no longer in the workflow step for which you are responsible. |
Confirming a task
In translate5, jobs can be assigned or requested in such a way that they must be confirmed by the user before work can begin. Such tasks can be recognized in the task overview: Tasks listed in italics are the ones that contain jobs that need to be confirmed.
The corresponding statuses are as follows:
- Status (task): not approved
- My job status: unconfirmed
If you open the task in the editor, the “Approve task” window appears at the top, via which you can confirm acceptance of the job. The job’s status then switches to “open”.
Finishing a task
Once you are done processing a task, you must finalize it so that translate5 can initiate the next workflow step after your task. This is how to do it:
- Click “Back to task list” in the top right, next to the progress bar.
- The “Back to task list” window appears, in which you click on “All done – finish task”.
If you have not yet finished your work, you still have the option here of cancelling the completion process via the “Continue task later” button. In that case, you will be taken back to the task overview, while the task you just left will remain in “open” status. - Next, the “Still something to do?” window appears, in which you confirm completion of the task by clicking “No”.
Here you again have the option of cancelling the completion process via the “Yes” button. In that case, you will return to the editor with the relevant task open. - If you clicked on “No” in the previous window – thereby confirming completion of the task, – a window will appear, showing a loading progress bar. As soon as it has reached 100%, you will be taken back to the task list. The status of the task is now “finished”.
