Logging out

You can log out of translate5 in any area except the editor view by clicking on the corresponding button in the top right-hand corner.

translate5 also automatically logs you out as soon as you close your browser if only one tab with one of the translate5 areas is open.

Project and task ID

The project and task IDs that are automatically assigned in translate5 increase in a way that a new project receives the next available ID and the tasks created within that project receive the subsequent IDs. The picture on the rights illustrates how IDs are incremented.

Columns in list views

The various list views in translate5 are individually customizable. This section describes how the view can be customized.

Changing column visibility

Columns can be shown and hidden flexibly. To do this, click on the down arrow that appears when you move the mouse cursor over the right-hand edge of the header column. Then select the “Columns” option in the drop-down that appears and then, in the submenu, tick or untick the box next to the columns that you would like to show/hide.

Sorting columns

Whenever the column content allows it, the columns in the list view can be sorted alphabetically or numerically in ascending or descending order. The sorting function is called up by clicking on the down arrow that appears when you move the mouse cursor over the right-hand edge of the header column. The two sorting options then appear in the drop-down menu.

Filtering columns

Some of the columns in translate5 offer a filter option with which you can either filter by text in the column content or, in the case of columns with predefined values, filter by these values.

You can set a filter by clicking on the down arrow that appears when you move the mouse cursor over the right-hand edge of the column heading. Then select the “Filter” menu option from the drop-down menu that appears and either select the desired value(s) in the Filter submenu by ticking/unticking the box, or type the text you are looking for into the text field.

Filters can be combined with each other.

In the “Active filters” row just above the column headings, you can see which filters are currently active. If required, individual filters can be deactivated here by clicking on the cross next to the respective filter name. There is usually also a “Reset filters” button that can be used to remove all active filters at once.

Grouping column content / Show in groups

The view can be grouped for columns with recurring content. You can activate the grouping by clicking on the down arrow that appears when you move the mouse cursor over the right-hand edge of the header column. Then select the menu option “Group by this field” from the drop-down menu that appears.

The grouping is cancelled by unchecking the “Show in groups” option in the corresponding column’s drop-down menu.

Changing the order of columns

The order of the columns can be adjusted by dragging and dropping the column header cell of the respective column to the desired position.

Buttons and icons

Menu icon

Icons with three horizontal lines on top of each other show menus in translate5 that can be used to call up further functions.

Adjusting window formats

The icon consisting of the corners of a square is used to adjust the shape and size of a window. There are usually several options you can switch between by clicking this icon.

Maximizing or minimizing windows

Click on the arrows pointing apart in the top right-hand corner of the window to maximize the window. If you then click on the arrows pointing towards each other, the window is reset to its previous size.
